We are looking forward to having our first nursery disco of the year on Thursday 11th October at 5pm – 6.30pm. All parents, carers, friends, family and children are welcome. There will be dancing, hot dogs and refreshments. The fundraiser costs £1 for adults and 50p per child.
All parents are welcome to join Monica, our family support worker, every Tuesday morning from 8.45am to 9.45am for a chat, coffee and biscuit.
We are focusing on traditional tales and autumn this term. All children are enjoying hearing the story of The Gingerbread man, The Three Little Pigs, Little Red Riding Hood and Goldilocks and the Three Bears. We are baking, building, painting, drawing and using the puppet theatre as part of this topic.
We have been focusing on talking and listening skills for the first few weeks of term. We are enjoying listening and responding to stories, rhymes, songs and music. We are exploring books and using patterns, sounds and rhythms of language.
As part of maths week, the children enjoyed counting forwards and backwards. They used money in our nursery shop to buy fruit and vegetables. The children sorted, matched and used objects, shapes, symmetry and colour creatively.
Thank you for the £2.50 snack money, all this money is used for buying snack and new resources for nursery.
We are sorry to say goodbye to Mrs McCafferty and Mrs Brown this term and wish them good luck in their new positions.
Miss Cunningham, will be joining us soon and is delighted to join the Kiwi group.
Miss Donnelly is our Modern apprentice and will be with us for this academic session.
Miss Wallace is our HNC student and will be in the nursery Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Any questions please do not hesitate to contact the nursery office or your child’s keyworker.
