We now have 8 children who attend Jigsaw House in the morning, 3 from our own school and 5 from other schools in South Lanarkshire.
In the afternoons we have begun Primary 4-6 Emotional Literacy groups with 20 children from our own school. So far we have made pancakes and been outdoors to identify trees growing in our locality. We have lots of exciting things planned including den building and art and craft activities.
Primary 7 come each Friday for breakfast and Primary 1-3 get a 9-9.30am slot each to come and play in Jigsaw House. We are a busy place!
Jigsaw House children have been learning the Golden Rules and also talking a lot about their emotions and how those emotions look and feel in our bodies.
We will be working hard on our initial sounds and learning some common words. We are also practicing our reading learning to write our News independently.
Some of us are working on counting and writing numbers to 5 and on to 10, 20 and 100.
Others are learning how to add.
We are beginning a block of swimming lessons soon which we are very excited about.
We love taking part in Jumpstart Sessions and are all getting very fit.
